The effects of MK-0677, an oral growth hormone secretagogue, in patients with hip fracture
Article Abstract:
The safety and efficacy of MK-0677, an orally active growth hormone (GH) secretagogue, on functional recovery from hip fracture in older adults are evaluated. Several points that need to be considered while using the GH secretagogue on the elderly patients are discussed.

Estimating hip fracture morbidity, mortality and costs

The estimation of lifetime morbidity, mortality, and costs from hip fracture incorporated in the activities of daily life are determined. The results estimated from hip fractures in United States are discussed.
