The implementation of the EverCare demonstration project
Article Abstract:
Results demonstrate that EverCare is an effective mode of treating older people as indicated by its emphasis on more attentive primary care. Data also show that the model substantially reduces subsequent expenditures on the geriatric assessment of final outcome, utilization and mortality.

How EverCare nurse practitioners spend their time
Article Abstract:
An overview is presented on the average working day for EverCare Inc. nurses. Direct patient care accounted for approximately 35% of the nursing workday, while time spent performing indirect care duties was divided between interaction with staff, which accounted for 46% of indirect care time, 26% with patients' families, and 15% with physicians.

The effect of Evercare on hospital use
Article Abstract:
The use of hospital and related medical care services in a managed care program using nurse practitioners is examined. The use of active primary care provided by nurse practitioners prevented the occurrence of some hospitalizable events.
