Discrimination among the elderly has become widespread in American society. Most young individuals in the US perceive aging individuals as invisible members of society. This mentality is the anitithesis in cultures where the aged are respected for their wisdom and looked up to as teachers who have a lot to share among the younger generations.

People over the age of 50 can still experience the magical feeling of love, despite their old age. Love is a cure for loneliness and restlessness and gives old people security and a feeling of belonging. It also makes them look forward to the future.
