A further examination of managerial burnout: toward an integrated model
Article Abstract:
A study conducted with human service supervisors and managers prove the major role that emotional exhaustion plays in burnout. Some of the factors directly influencing exhaustion are job and life satisfaction, time spent with clients and role stress. Indirect influnces are direct control and social support. Consequently, emotional exhaustion has significant effects on depersonalization, helplessnes, professional commitment and turnover intentions.
