Asking "why?" in the workplace: causal attributions and organizational behavior

Article Abstract:

An analytical approach to workplace attribution research is suggested to consider four activity levels of workplace attribution. These levels are: intra-personal, interpersonal, intergroup and societal. Intra-personal attibution focuses on the "self" in explaining behavior to a particular work environment stimuli while interpersonal focuses on another person's behavior. The intergroup attribution focuses on a group's behavioral response while societal focuses on the collective response of the whole organization.
