Climate change and vector-borne diseases distribution
Article Abstract:
Vector-borne diseases are causedby insects, acari and other invertebrates such as snails and crustaceans. They usually occur in areas with tropical climates but may also be found in temperateclimates if their habitats are not affected by the environment. Changes in temperature, humidity and rainfall affect water-borne vector species. However, species living in dry regions or domestic environments may not be affected so much bythese changes. Temperature changes hasten the metabolism of vector species suchthat a bigger amount of food is consumed. This in turn affects their life cycleand population densities.

Transgender in the United States: a brief discussion
Article Abstract:
Transgender can be seen as an alternative way of viewing gender. It brings together elements of gay, feminist and deconstructionist theory to present the argument that male and female genders are social constructed and differ from culture to culture. New approaches to transgender have already started to change the ways in which gender is viewed in the US. The transgender revolution is having significant repercussions for the ways in which transgender and transsexual people are regarded by society.
