Finding a footing on the moral high ground: connections, interventions, and ethical implications
Article Abstract:
The comments of anthropologists Oriol Pi-Sunyer and Joel Halpern to the article 'Ethical Issues for Social Anthropologists: A North American Perspective on Long-Term Research in Mexico' is heartening and thought provoking. Their interest indicates that the field of Anthropology needs to underscore discussions of its ethical responsibilities. Anthropology was one of the first social science disciplines to recognize the need for an ethical code, yet anthropologists frequently take these ethical principles for granted and hardly re-evaluate them in the light of radical change.

The remuneration of school teachers: time series and cross-section evidence
Article Abstract:
A study using the economic and econometric analysis to time series and cross-section data on the salary of school teachers in the UK reveals that market economics decide the structure of teacher's salaries. Cross-sectional evidences are not fool-proof as they are not applicable for those who graduated earlier than 1956.
