Environmental policies and innovation: a knowledge-based perspective on cooperative approaches
Article Abstract:
A study investigated the influence on public environmental policy of a new approach, involving cooperation with companies and the use of negotiated instruments, that has been adopted by European policy makers and regulators. In particular, it analyzed the impact of the implementation of this approach in the case of end-of-life vehicles that has been the subject of several voluntary agreements. Within this context, it will be shown why and how the content of public policy changes as companies' knowledge improves.
