Challenges of networking in technology assessment
Article Abstract:
Several characteristics define the international technology assessment (TA) community. Among others, there is a steady rise in TA groups in Europe but this is tempered by the subcritical mass and uneven regional distribution of TA organizations. At the same time, overlapping work is common due to the lack of transparency and cooperation between TA organizations. As such, the influence of TA on governmental policies and industrial initiatives remains minimal.
