Legislating sexual orientation in the states
Article Abstract:
State-level legislative developments regarding sexual orientation are discussed. In California, the Assembly Bill (AB) 1326 is intended to ban the promotion of homosexuality in public education, while in Washington the state legislature has held up a bill designed to eliminate bullying, harassment and intimidation in schools.

We need to conquer student silence about sexual orientation
Article Abstract:
It is vital that young people challenge their received views about sexual orientation. Nobody's sexual orientation should be taken for granted, and differences should be accepted with an open mind, instead of being automatically mocked. Schools must have an atmosphere of consideration and acceptance.
