Linking technology and institutions: the innovation community framework
Article Abstract:
The process of technology commercialization has been defined traditionally by the technological systems framework or by the technology evolution framework. An innovation community framework is introduced, where relationships are established for commercialization catalysts in terms of a bounded structure with the new technology. Among the new framework's important variables are community size, strength of the superstructure and community segmentation.

Article Abstract:
Modelling the strengths and weaknesses of industrial clusters from a regional perspective may be done by modifying the porter competitiveness diamond. Key elements to be incorporated include resources, infrastructure, supplier and related firms, firm strategies, structure and rivalries, local markets and access to external markets. Measures may be organized under headings of groundings, enterprises and markets.

Modeling systems of innovation: an enterprise-centered view
Article Abstract:
An enterprise-centered view of innovation modeling is shown to incorporate the linear innovation model and the richer and more sophisticated chain link model. The resulting product cycle model that incorporates innovative activity from in-house, customers, suppliers, peers and the public sector s shown to be more symmetrical which makes it easier to generalize, specialize and interpret.
