Article Abstract:
A senior vice president of a not-for-profit health maintenance organization urges for more research on the impact of financial incentives on the quality of health care. The purchase of health plans promotes the linking of financial and nonfinancial incentives. Future research should analyze the mechanisms that lead to reduced choice and solutinos to concerns facing both providers and patients. The studies should determine and document the potential good or harm resulting from the use financial incentives in the industry.

Putting the heat on swap meets
Article Abstract:
Two US federal court decisions, Fonovisa v. Cherry Auction, and A&M Records v. Mohammad Abdallah, clearly establish that swap-meet managers share liability for counterfeit records sold by vendors. The Recording Industry Association of America is actively spreading this liability information.
