Posttransition experiences of former child SSI recipients
Article Abstract:
The article discusses a study on the posttransition experiences and characteristics of child SSI recipients after the redetermination of benefits at 18 years of age. It is suggested that transition supports for subgroups in the child SSI population are required for children who do not receive benefits on completing the age of 18 and are not employed, not pursuing education or being trained in some activity.
