The influence of business strategies on technological network activities

Article Abstract:

The impact of marketing and technology strategies on a company's technology-oriented alliances is examined. Specifically, factor analysis was performed on data from 451 manufacturers to identify the strategy dimensions of customer orientation, variety orientation, technological innovation orientation, and quality and performance orientation. A subsequent cluster analysis revealed five types of business strategies: the technological leader, the customer-focused developer, the cost leader, the specializer and the dissipater.
