The multiple pathways of high performing groups: the interaction of social netowrks and group processes
Article Abstract:
The interactions of strong and weak relationship groups with constructive controversy and ext ernal networks is studied in 35 groups of MBA students. Constructive controversy was associated with better performance in strong relationship groups, while high performing weak relationship groups has fewer external bridging ties to other groups.

Article Abstract:
New ventures with heterogenous top management teams excel when led by directive leaders but homogenous teams excel when led by empowering leaders. The Inc. 500 list of fast growing startups and a random sampling of new ventures in the United States are used for this study.
