The outlook is G.R.E.A.T.: what educators say about school-based prevention and the Gang Resistance Education and Training (G.R.E.A.T.) program

Article Abstract:

Reports on a survey of administrators, counselors, and teachers from middle schools involved in the National Evaluation of the Gang Resistance Education and Training (G.R.E.A.T) program is presented. The views of school personnel on important current issues, including their perceptions of school safety, the role of law enforcement officers in schools, and the role and effectiveness of school based prevention programs are highlighted.

oBorn to be wildo: the effect of the repeal of Florida's mandatory motorcycle helmet- use- law on serious injury and fatality rates

Article Abstract:

The policy implications as to the repeal of mandatory motorcycle helmet-use law in Florida is inconsequential, is discussed, based on a research conducted. The results determine that the repeal of the mandatory use if this law did not increase the fatality rates among the motorcyclists, and there fore policy makers should consider repealing these kind of laws.
