Behavior analysis and decision making

Article Abstract:

Research was conducted to characterize an experimental analysis of human reasoning and behavior. Behavior-analytic methodology was utilized to examine various phenomena related to decision making processes, such as information associated with the environment. Natural settings provide a rich source of potential conditioned reinforcers that also affect human reasoning and behavior. Results indicated a base-rate error that was dependent on learned probabilistic relationships.

Delay reduction: current status

Article Abstract:

Delay-reduction theory (DRT) suggests that the computation of decrease in response time to primary reinforcement with respect to the time of origin of the earlier stimulus can aid the accurate evaluation of the efficiency of the stimulus as a conditioned reinforcer. The results of two experiments support the DRT revealing that the frequency of reinforcement does not influence the preference for a particular type of reinforcer.

The effect of conditioned reinforcement rate on choice: A review

Article Abstract:

The conditioned reinforcement is analyzed for the selectivity in concurrent schedules. The terminal schedules do not increase the rate of conditioned reinforcement .
