The present state and future tendency of anthropology in China

Article Abstract:

Chinese anthropology is beginning to show results from its renewed emphasis in the 1980s. Much of this field's future may involve "sinicization," with 21st century developments in applied anthropology and a struggle between indigenous anthropology and external scholarship.

Anthropology as an interdisciplinary field
