Design of an assessment of caregivers' Impulsive Feelings to Commit Elder Abuse

Article Abstract:

A study was carried out on 387 South Korean family caregivers for their older family members who had disabilities in order to find out the psychometric properties of the Impulsive Feelings to Commit Elder Abuse scale. The scale showed that there were two types of abuses hurled by caregivers for their older family members who were disabled namely emotional abuse and physical abuse.

The long-term effects of relocation on people with an intellectual disability: quality of life, behavior, and environment

Article Abstract:

Issues related to the effects of moving intellectually disabled people from institutions to communities or to other institutions are examined. Study results indicate an increase of quality of life and decrease of behavioral problems for those who were relocated although there was little change in long-term maladaptive behaviors.
