Impact of attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder and other psychopathology on treatment retention among cocaine abusers in a therapeutic community

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to determine if certain psychiatric comorbidities were associated with earlier drop-out rates, shorter lengths of treatment, or less successful progression through treatment in cocaine-dependent individuals. The results demonstrate that individuals with depression and/or anxiety disorders had the best early retention rates with a high rate of late drop-outs.
