Holding therapy and dyadic developmental psychotherapy are not supported and acceptable social work interventions: A systematic research synthesis revisited
Article Abstract:
The re-examination of a recent research study by Craven and Lee, by the authors found that two interventions were erroneously classified as supporters of efficacy and holding therapy shown to be potentially physically harmful to children, showed that holding therapy and dyadic developmental psychotherapy were not properly categorized.

Further factorial validity of a scale of therapist theoretical orientation
Article Abstract:
A study to test the original factor structure of the Theoretical Evaluation Self-test (TEST) and to assess alternate factor structures was conducted. The result shows that TEST should continue to be used as an experiential tool in MSW and psychology training programs.

Thought Field Therapy: A former insider's experience

Thought Field Therapy (TFT) that uses finger tapping on purported acupressure points initial skepticism and training to the highest level of TFT is discussed. The pseudoscientific aspects of TFT and the way in which they can impair critical thinking are described.
