Housework and daily urban life, 1965-1998

Article Abstract:

This article explores how much time the average Russian family spends on household chores. The author concludes families spend more time on household chores than in the past do to the contribution of working men, demonstrating that more women are no longer viewed as the primary domestic keeper, arguing this may lead to the deterioration of the family as the most significant social institution.

A sociological survey was conducted to study the migratory intentions of the populations of Mordvinia.The survey indicated that the inclination to migrate was due to the desire to improve their material condition.
