Mexican sociology: contradictory influences
Article Abstract:
Mexican sociology has gained ground through the influence of European and American sociology. However, earlier works which were inspired by American and European sociological perspectives seem to diminish the dynamics of social and political change. In contrast, recent materials reveal the capability of some parts of Mexican sociology to restore the dynamics of social and political change. Mexican sociology remains as a spectator of the arguments and discussions by scholars who do not have adequate knowledge of conditions in the country.
