Reliability of children's self-reported cigarette smoking

Article Abstract:

There is evidence that the younger the age at which youth begin smoking cigarettes, there is increased risk of tobacco addiction during adolescence and adulthood. The reliability of self-reported cigarette use in a longitudinal study of elementary school children is examined. It considers certain measures of youth smoking such as the Monitoring the Future Study, Youth Risk Behavior Survey and National Household Survey on Drug Abuse. It is suggested that children's self-reports are extremely consistent.

The applicability of the theory of planned behavior to the intention to quit smoking across workplaces in Southern Taiwan

Article Abstract:

The theory of planned behavior(TPB) to quit smoking across workplaces was tested in three companies in Southern Taiwan. One served to build the model and two others to cross-check the findings. The learning sample worked well with other samples from the same organization but adding past behavior and importance of quitting to the TPB model made it more across workplaces.
