Understanding the diverse needs of the Medicare population: implications for Medicare reform
Article Abstract:
Demographic information on Medicare recipients is presented. Analysis shows that 40% of recipients, who have disabilities or incomes below the poverty level, experience difficulties in obtaining needed health care services or have trouble paying medical bills.

Controlling the supply of long-term care providers in thirteen states
Article Abstract:
An analysis is presented on the use of moratoriums and certificate-of-need programs on Medicaid services and expenditures. It is posited that supply policy requires adjustment to address residential and home health care to reflect consumer market demographics.
