Article Abstract:

An article was published seven years ago, which said that PointCast, a clever application that displayed news headlines as a screen saver was a success and Web browsers were about to become obsolete. Browsers did not disappear and PointCast was a failure and recently there has been a twist with RSS being the inspiring technology that allows easy syndication of news, blog and other frequently updated sources.

How the internet invented Howard Dean

The biggest news of the political season has been the tale of the small-state governor, Howard Dean, who, with the help of meetup.com and hundreds of bloggers, has elbowed his way into serious contention for his party's residential nomination. Dean has used the net to raise more money than any other democratic candidate.

Runaway idea: the twin inventors of electronic monitoring still have regrets

Article Abstract:

The electronic monitoring technology that are used to track prisoners whereabouts was invented by the identical twins, Robert and Kirk Gable originally as an operant conditioning tool for kids to show up on time for therapy. The twins feel that their invention is misunderstood and has become a "mutant" of some sort.
