When what you say about others says something about you: Language abstraction and inferences about describers' attitudes and goals
Article Abstract:
Three experiments are demonstrate that describers who use relatively abstract language to describe others' behavior are considered to have biased attitudes and motives in comparison with describers using concrete language. The conclusions that recipients drew about describers are influenced by variations in language abstraction, independently of the valence inherent in the descriptions.

A reevaluation of the evidence for spontaneous trait inferences
Article Abstract:
Experiments under memory instructions with a list of trait-implying sentences do not provide evidence of spontaneous trait inferences. Elimination of output interference also causes any trait cue advantage to be eliminated. Recall was found to be lower under the cue condition than under the no cue condition. The cue variable was manipulated both within-subject and between-subjects.

The efficiency of binding spontaneous trait inferences to actors' faces
Article Abstract:
The hypothesis that the process of binding spontaneous trait inferences (STIs) to actors' representations that is relatively independent of attentional resources was tested using three experiments. The aim of the study was to address the automaticity of binding STIs to actors.
