The art of diving began in the form of breath-hold diving in the early 1940s. The development of sophisticated equipment and techniques allowed divers to breath comfortably underwater for prolonged periods of time, allowing them to explore diverse flora and fauna including mollusks.

Mollusks, seiches and tsunamis
Article Abstract:
Topics about water and its life forms are discussed. Invertebrates namely, arthropods and mollusks, are two of the most abundant marine fauna, which generally reproduce by depositing fertilized egg masses. The differences of seiches, tsunamis and turbidity currents were explained.

Diving in the waters of dams is a pleasurable experience both for recreational and commercial divers. For recreational divers, dammed waters can yield lost, sunken objects that can be of archaeological interest. It also offers divers photogenic sites and structures.
