Treasure hunting goes high tech: depth no longer limits shipwreck location & salvage
Article Abstract:
Robot technology, sidescan sonar, unmanned remotely operated vehicles are increasingly being used to salvage treasures from centuries-old shipwrecks. To date, successful efforts include the salvaging of the San Diego off the Philippines, the HMS Edinburgh off the Barents Sea and Bismarck off France.

Return of the Iron Ship: the wreck of the world's first sub found
Article Abstract:
An amateur diver discovered the 100-year old wreck of Resurgam II which was the first engine-powered submarine invented by George William Garrett in 1879. Bill Garret, the inventor's grandson, who went on several diving trips to the UK in search of Resurgam II is looking forward to its restoration.

Florida's San Miguel de Archangel
Article Abstract:
Peter Leo discovered the wreck of the Spanish ship San Miguel de Archangel and formed the Jupiter Wreck Co to salvage it. The company won the right to 80% of the treasure that is excavated.
