A walk in the mountains: sometimes a scouting trip yields more than you bargained for

Article Abstract:

The exploration of a unfamiliar canyon is described. There was snow in the canyon, and tracks of a variety of animals, ranging from rabbits to mule deer, were clearly visible, as were the fresh tracks of a mountain lion. After this sighting, there was a rapid retreat from the canyon.

Article Abstract:

Flyfishing for carp requires dexterity and use of an appropriate fly pattern. The fisherman has to choose a fly that simulates the food organisms the carp eats. The weighted fly is cast ahead of the fish, submerged to the bottom of the pond, and then retrieved in front of the fish.
