Article Abstract:

The socio demographic and environmental factors at community, school and household levels associated with physical inactivity in Xi'an City, China are explored. Estradiol and tamoxifen reverse ovariectomy-induced physical inactivity in mice

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to determine the effects of estrogen or the estrogen analog, tamoxifen on estrogen deficient mice associated with decreased physical activity and increased body mass. The results indicate that the lack of estrogen causes mice to rapidly become sedentary but that estrogen replacement could stimulate ovariectomized mice to resume voluntary wheel running within a few days.
