Get tennis out of the Olympics

Article Abstract:

Tennis does not need to be included in the Olympics since it already gets substantial media coverage from its regular tournaments. Moreover, tennis has long been treated as a minor-sport during the Olympics and players stand to get nothing, in terms of money and rankings, from their participation.

Stanford women end "lengthy" title drought

The Stanford Cardinal women's tennis team receives its first win in six years in the 1997 NCAA championship title after defeating defending champion Florida. Headed by coach Frank Brennan, the women's team scored an impressive 5-1 victory over Florida.
