Halogen lighting is said to cause fires in boats. However, it was found that the casing of the halogen lamps which is usually a light fixture intended for tungsten lamps is the cause of overheating. Therefore, it is wiser to install a new, more durable light fixture for the halogen lamp considering the efficiency and life advantages it gives.
