Recurrent rhabdomyolysis in a collegiate athlete: A case report
Article Abstract:
The case of a collegiate athlete with recurrent bouts of rhabdomyolysis is presented and diagnostic workup is discussed. Athletes who develop rhabdomyolysis without an obvious antecedent, such as trauma or drug abuse should be evaluated for metabolic myopathy such as carnitine palmitoyltransferase (CPT II) deficiency or McArdle's disease.

A preliminary examination of cryotherapy and secondary injury in skeletal muscle
Article Abstract:
Research was conducted to determine whether acute cytotherapy alters the condition of the secondary injury in skeletal muscles. Results indicate that second injury is retarded after 5 h of continuous cryotherapy acute treatment.

Two cases of exceptional rhabdomyolysis precipitated by personal trainers
Article Abstract:
Exertional rhabdomyolysis is evaluated in two healthy, experienced exercisers. Results show that overexertion during their exercise leads to rhabdomyolysis.
