Skip the sting: you may not need the alcohol swab before injections
Article Abstract:
Insulin-dependent diabetics need not necessarily clean the insulin vial and injection site with alcohol before giving themselves shots. A study of volunteers resulted in no one developing an infection by failing to use an alcohol swab. General cleanliness must still be observed.

A friend for faulty tickers: heart drug greatly curbs risk of death
Article Abstract:
A study showed a 62 percent decrease in the risk of death when heart patients used the drug vesnarinone in conjunction with other heart medications. Patients with congestive heart failure took place in a double-blind study.
