The results of the US Racquet Stringers Assn.'s votes for the best string are presented. The brands were evaluated based on durability, comfort or playability, and value. Although the most expensive at $49, Babolat VS Power 16 (gut) had the best overall performance among some 20 brands.

Head has recently added two models of light-weight racquets to its line of products. The TI.S7 and TI.S6, whose weaves are made of titanium and graphite, weigh between 8.5 to 8.6 ounce giving players greater flexibility and force when making shots.
