Article Abstract:

Taxidermy can be expensive and can take up a lot of space on walls. An alternative is the European mount. Tips on doing this mount oneself include removing the deer head from the spinal column, boiling the head and painting it with a hydrogen peroxide solution. Details are presented.

Article Abstract:

Wide-open spaces in the West are not as plentiful as they once were, nor are mule deer. These animals are reputed to be unintelligent, but they can be hard to find after they hear shooting. The most effective technique is to hunt them on steep, tree-covered slopes.
