Charting the C-band satellites

Article Abstract:

The market for commercial C-band satellite capacity is increasingly becoming crowded, as shown by the huge number of geosynchronous communications satellites at the geostationary arc. The geosynchronous communications satellites have applications in the provision of fixed satellite services for international data and voice communications and television broadcasts. The frequencies of the geostationary C-band range from 7,025 milliHertz to 5,725 milliHertz for uplink uses and from 4,800 milliHertz to 4,500 milliHertz and from 4,200 milliHertz to 3,400 milliHertz for downlink applications.
