Seaborne freight expanding
Article Abstract:
Operators of both ropax vessels and freight roros are expanding their services to meet the growing demand to move more freight from the road into sea transport. Sea freight service companies are ordering newbuildings, which are capable of handling more freight, and can provide quicker passage and turnaround times. UK-based ropax operator P&O Portsmouth and the Italian group, Grimaldi, are two shipowners making an effort to offer a total transportation package to its clients.
