Intervention analysis for the impacts of the 65 mph speed limit on rural interstate highway fatalities
Article Abstract:
A study exploring the effects of the implementation of the 65 mph speed limit on rural states in the US was conducted. Intervention analysis was used on data from a multiplicative time-series model that is used to provide a stochastic pattern of accidents before and after the implementation. Results indicate that the level of fatal accidents increases upon the implementation of the speed limit. This level of accidents was lowered after a one year learning period.

Vehicle crash involvement and cognitive deficit in older drivers
Article Abstract:
A study exploring the frequency of accidents of drivers affected by cognitive deficit disorders was conducted on 165 older drivers from British Columbia. Results indicate that these drivers were involved in twice as many accidents as the control group and that only 20% of the drivers did no continue driving after the accident. Among the 80% who continued driving, approximately 33% had one more accident after three years.

The identification of high-risk older drivers through age-mediated point systems
Article Abstract:
The relationship between aging and driving perfomance was evaluated for accident risks using the Department of Motor Vehicles' driver record files. Results showed the inverse relationship between increase in age and decrement of driving skills in the number of prior accident involvement.
