Limadet caters to market demand: Lignes Maritime takes delivery of IBN Battouta 2 ferry
Article Abstract:
Lignes Maritime du Detroit (Limadet) is operating the IBN Battouta 2 on the Algeciras/Tangier route. It was designed by Tecnor of La Coruna and built by the AESA yard, and is jointly owned with Trasmediterranea. It comprises seven lounges and three decks and can cater for 1,300 passengers. It can be used as a ferry or a roro vessel and has total car capacity of 283. Tenfjord supplied the steering gear and it features a bow thruster to help manoevrability.
