Custom parts suppliers achieve customer satisfaction by solving the problems of their customers. Elco Industries entered the custom parts business and immediately recognized the benefits of Value Analysis (VA). Gries Dynacast had always employed VA. Gries has sponsored VA seminars for potential customers. Elco now holds internal VA seminars for problem solving review by the VA team.

VA Contest Winners '84

'Purchasing' magazine sponsors an annual Value Analysis contest. The winner is Wayne Rout, PowCon Corp. PowCon organized a Value Analysis team for its advanced welding power supply unit. The team focused on improving cost and performance of the new unit.
