New Japanese metro technologies cut cost

The Tokyo metropolitan Transportation Bureau following Osaka's metro system will be operating linear induction motor subway cars. These cars have lower floor height, maintain ceiling height, thus increasing passenger space and decreased total car size to travel thru smaller, subway tunnels which would be cheaper to build.
