Safer high-speed craft on the horizon

Article Abstract:

The new design tool S @ S, Safety-at speed has been developed by European Union, which shall help designers, class Societies, yards and government authorities to evaluate high-speed craft at an early design stage, improving safety and cost-effectiveness. The need for high-speed ferries and more innovative designs is very high in order to solve traffic problems on the road.

Havila Tampen to receive Azipull retrofit

Article Abstract:

The Havila Tampen, largest built service vessel, have two Ulstein Aquamaster Azipull azimuthing thrusters fitted on it. The conventional Azimuth thrusters fitted to the ship will be replaced by Azipull thrusters to provide for offshore service.
