Stripping to advantage
Article Abstract:
Several technical factors must be considered by shipowners when selecting a pumping system for their vessels. These include the type of pump, the desired discharge rate, the trading profile and the overall cost. Such factors can affect the the long-term efficiency of the system and the overall performance of the vessels. It is therefore necessary for shipowners to practice caution when choosing a pumping system to avoid costly pump failures.
