Tasman Designs Favor Intermodal Interface

The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority began operating on the Tasman Corridor Light Rail Transit System, serving the cities of San Jose, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale and Mountain View where the Silicon Valley is located. The project will continue for the next few years and include the Baypointe Extension, the 1-880 Extension and the Hostetter Extension.

The idea of a development oriented transit (DOT) that encourages vehicle use and automobile oriented development within the community is to be designed by developers. Integration of stations into community spaces to identify them as community elements and not just functional structures is a distinct feature of the DOT.
