Using GIS for law enforcements
Article Abstract:
The CARE Research and Development Laboratory (CRDL) at the University of Alabama, through the development of the Motor Carrier Analysis Package (MAP) has developed an electronic application and coupled it with software called Critical Analysis and Reporting Environment (CARE) to develop a Geographical Information System (GIS) to visualize enforcement activities in conjunction with known high-risk areas. In Alabama Officers use this GIS to map vehicle crash and traffic citation locations.

Expect 42-volt systems to produce advantages and challenges
Article Abstract:
Product review of the new 42-volt engines that are being integrated into public transit vehicles. The engine has a larger battery which will dramatically reduce emission due to the fact that buses will no longer have to idle at stops.
