Good reasons to repair in Spain
Article Abstract:
Spanish shipyards proffer extremely competitive advantages for any form of ship dry-docking operation be they for repair, conversion or routine maintenance. Some of the major contributing factors to the competitiveness of Spanish shipyards is the price quoted by the selected yard, costs of expected off-hire time during dry-docking, port service and supply costs and cost of employees' stays. Quality, reliability and specialization are at par with the best the world has to offer.

Passing trade
Article Abstract:
Union Naval Barcelona (UNB) has been experiencing record-breaking growth over the years, buoyed by the increasing regional traffic in Barcelona, Spain. Statistics show that the occupancy for UNB's panamax dock has reached the 100% level, and the rate is forecasted to further increase by two folds. UNB's yard also handles a total of 70 vessels which translates to a $20 million turnover revenue.
