John Conlan has taken on the role of Chairman of The Trocadero entertainment centre in London, UK. Conlan has a history of turning round the fortunes of failing companies, with his previous company First Leisure becoming a 600 million pound sterling business by 1997. He aims to introduce new rides and attractions for the predicted 10 million visitors to the Trocadero and plans to change the centre's name will also give it a new public image. The Trocadero's freehold is owned by Burford Holdings plc, who have given Conlan a free hand to make the centre a success.
