John Wilkes. (Tower Hill Pageant celebrates second anniversary)

Article Abstract:

Tower Hill Pageant, a dark ride museum in London, celebrates its second anniversary on 2nd September, with visitor numbers increasing dramatically. General Manager of the ride, John Wilkes, believes the rise is due to new spending on PR and marketing. Wembley acts as consultant to Pageant and will implement a 150 thousand pounds sterling enhancement programme during the next few months, involving lighting, movement and sound. John Wilkes does not believe that the new Tower Bridge attraction nearby will affect the future of the Pageant.

Moving pictures

Article Abstract:

Parkway Cinema, Camden, London, England is scheduled for redevelopment as a leisure complex by Bernard Sunley & Co despite a three year campaign to save it. The cinema has established a reputation for traditional entertainment uner the direction of Peter Walker. Facilities are comparable with London West End cinemas but prices are lower. However, although Parkway may be lost Walker's success has attracted financial support for similar ventures in Gosport, Hampshire, England and seven other locations.
